San Francisco Ocean Beach 5K & 10K

A Benefit for Project Open Hand, providing meals with love.

5K & 10K

8:50 a.m., Saturday, April 28, 2001: Starts on the beach at Great Highway & Sloat Boulevard in San Francisco (near the Zoo). Runs & walks on compressed beach normally covered by ocean and exposed by an extreme minus tide. This surface is called flat-pack and is considered the best surface for running.

Pre-registration Entry: $20 includes t-shirt and commemorative mugs (until April 16, 2001).
$20 includes t-shirt (until April 22, 2001).
Race-Day Entry: $25 includes t-shirt from 7:30 a.m. at Great Highway & Sloat Boulevard.

Winners of the 5K and 10K receive a breakfast for two at JoAnn's, which placed second for best American Breakfast in California by Zagat Survey of Restaurants. First, second, and third place winners in each division will receive a special mug with their place screened alongside the race logo.
