San Francisco Classic Mile & 5K

A Benefit for the San Francisco Food Bank, feeding the programs that feed the people.

Presented by Ohana Road Runners,
as part of Ohana's Grand Prix Series 2004 challenge for cash prizes.

Mile

8:00 a.m., Thursday, November 25, 2004 Happy Thanksgiving : Mile starts 8:00 a.m. at John F. Kennedy Drive at 10th Avenue in Golden Gate Park. Race day registration from 7 a.m. at the Rose Garden, between the starts on JFK. Both are USA Track & Field certified flat fast loop courses, that finish in front of the Conservatory of Flowers. Within easy walking distance of the starts and offering ample parking in surrounding areas.

5K

8:30 a.m., Thursday, November 25, 2004 Happy Thanksgiving : 5K starts 8:30 a.m. at John F. Kennedy Drive at 10th Avenue in Golden Gate Park. Race day registration from 7 a.m. at the Rose Garden, between the starts on JFK. Both are USA Track & Field certified flat fast loop courses, that finish in front of the Conservatory of Flowers. Within easy walking distance of the starts and offering ample parking in surrounding areas.

Pre-registration Entry: $25 (Mile or 5K) includes t-shirt (until November 11, 2004).
Race-Day Entry: $30 (Mile or 5K),
$35 (Mile and 5K),
includes t-shirt from 7:00 am at the Rose Garden, on JFK Drive, 250 yards west of 10th Avenue, in Golden Gate Park.
Special Combo Entry: $30 to register for both the Miracle Mile and 5K, includes t-shirt (until November 11, 2004).
$35 to register for both the Miracle Mile and 5K (after November 11, 2004).

Winners of all People Events generally receive a breakfast for two at Jo Ann's Café (1131 El Camino Real in South San Francisco), which placed second for best American Breakfast in California by Zagat Survey of Restaurants, Tickets for Bach Dancing & Dynamite Society concerts, and Sports Basement Gift Certificates. Prizes for place winners, random drawing winners, and top pledge collectors, often include a vacation at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel, Maui's most Hawaiian Hotel, See's Candies, and a stay at the famous San Remo Hotel near San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf.

This event is also part of Ohana's Grand Prix Series 2004 challenge for cash prizes.
